"We believe in Allah, and the revelation given to us, and to Abraham, Isma'il, Isaac, Jacob, and the Tribes, and that given to Moses and Jesus, and that given to (all) prophets from their Lord: We make no difference between one and another of them: And we bow to Allah (in Islam)."

Participating in interfaith activity is of high importance to the M.T.O. Sufi Association®. We strive to share the teachings of Islamic Sufism, which have made such a positive impact on our lives, as well as to reach out to the larger interfaith community to create a “bridge between religions.” Hazrat Salaheddin Ali Nader Angha explains that Sufism is the “Reality of Religion” and thus includes the teachings of all of the prophets from Moses and Abraham, to Buddha, Jesus, and Mohammad (peace be upon them).

This year, the M.T.O. Sufi Association® members were active participants in a number of interfaith activities including representing Islam on various on and off campus panel discussions, the influential Interfaith Leadership Dialogue Program at UC Berkeley, and the Southern California Parliament of World Religions. Our interfaith community service activities include the “Share the Warmth” clothing drive and “Hot Meal for the Homeless.” We’ve also hosted events such as the very popular Interfaith Music and Poetry Night and Tamarkoz® (Sufi meditation) workshops during Interfaith Awareness Week at UC Berkeley.
